About Franklinville, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Franklinville is located in Randolph County, North Carolina approximately eight miles east of Asheboro and twenty-six miles south of Greensboro. Settled in the early 1800s and named for former North Carolina governor Jesse Franklin, the town of Franklinville was established in 1847 as a textile mill village on the Ramseur branch of the Atlantic and Yadkin Railroad. Today, the town of Franklinville is home to a population of approximately 1,300 residents who enjoy the area’s moderate seasonal climate that produces hot humid summers, moderately cold winters, and lovely weather during the spring and fall months.
Franklinville is the site of the Franklinsville Manufacturing Company, a historic landmark owned by the Randolph Heritage Conservancy that was the first corporation to do business in the county of Randolph.
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the partially completed Deep River Rail-Trail that runs through Franklinville and follows the path of an abandoned eighteen-mile rail bed that was used by the Atlantic and Yadkin Railroad from 1897 to 1980. Upon completion, the trail will connect the communities of Franklinville, Sandy Creek, Ramseur, and Cedar Falls with a safe, pedestrian-friendly trail suitable for hiking, biking, jogging, and horseback riding.
The Routh Horse Ranch, located five miles north of the city in Grays Chapel, is a boarding and riding facility that offers services and amenities for owners and visitors that include pasture boarding, Western-style trail-riding instruction, access to riding trails and a lighted arena, and special event hosting for birthday parties, anniversaries, and other special occasions.
Franklinville’s friendly community spirit, excellent schools, low cost of living, and central location within the state make it a great city for living, visiting, working, and playing!
